2nd annual student photo contest: see your photo on the Tisch website!

Tisch Library is pleased to announce our 2nd annual student website photo contest. Three winners of the contest will have their photo featured on our homepage behind the Jumbosearch box over the course of 2023. An ideal photo will capture the uniqueness of the Tufts campus while having a composition that allows it to be well-situated behind the Jumbosearch box.
Take Note: Strategies and Tools for effective research notes
Notetaking is an essential part of the research process, but it isnt always clear how to take notes: What should I write down? How much should I write down? How should I organize my notes? How do I move from a collection of notes to a research paper? This workshop will cover best practices in note taking. It will also introduce a few different tools and apps for storing and organizing your notes.
Sharing Your Work: Copyright, Publishing & Increasing Your Impact
An introduction to sharing your academic work, with the goal of making your research and scholarship widely available & increasing your scholarly impact. Learn about:
• the importance of copyright
• how to choose a journal to publish in
• open access options
• how to evaluate a publisher's contract
• how to exercise your rights to use, share, and distribute your work

Artists' books really do come in all shapes and sizes! Join Darin Murphy for a discussion of these wonderfully unique art objects and the many material, formal, and technical elements that go into their creation.
The event will take place in Tisch Library Room 103 on Saturday, October 22nd from 12:00-12:45 pm.

Undergrads, are you working on a research assignment this fall? Don’t go it alone! Join us in Tisch Library for a 2 hour session dedicated to working on your paper. There will be StAAR Center writing consultants available to help with the writing process, a Tisch librarian available to help with research, and other undergrads working through the research paper process alongside you! Snacks and drinks will be provided.
