QGIS: An Open Source GIS Solution

GIS is becoming an increasingly important tool in many fields. Proprietary GIS software (software that cannot be freely shared or modified) is usually very expensive and we need to be prepared to have an alternative — software that is free of cost and free in a social sense - to collect, compile, manage and perform analysis. In this workshop you will learn basic video recording strategies and editing tools.  We will use the Video Recording Kit which has a Sony a6600 mirrorless camera and Adobe Premiere Pro but skills are translatable to other cameras and software.  We will cover basic media management, recording and editing techniques, and saving your files.  We hope by the end of this workshop you will feel empowered to check out media equipment and know more about resources available to support you during your next project.   This workshop will be taught by DDS Stud

Introduction to Tufts High Performance Compute Cluster 

  This workshop is a brief introduction of the structure and usage of the Tufts HPC clusters, as well as the basic usage of its scheduler “SLURM”. 
 This is a hands-on workshop and an account on the HPC cluster is required**. Basic Linux knowledge is required. If you are not familiar with Linux, please check out our “Introduction to Linux” workshop.   **REQUIREMENT**  Workshops utilize the Tufts High Performance Computer Cluster.
