Artists' books really do come in all shapes and sizes! Join Darin Murphy for a discussion of these wonderfully unique art objects and the many material, formal, and technical elements that go into their creation.

Art Research for Undergrads

Through an exploration of resources from the SMFA Library collection, we will learn about and discuss the process of art research. Attendees will also consider possible avenues of research to explore while creating their own art, including materials, process, and content.

Undergrads, are you completing a research paper this fall? Deciding on a topic that fits your assignment can sometimes seem like a daunting task! Join Tisch librarians for a quick 45 minute workshop where we will share strategies and resources to help you narrow your topic to a level appropriate for your assignment. Subject librarians from the humanities, social sciences, and sciences will be available to provide discipline specific recommendations. Snacks will be provided!

Introduction to LabArchives Digital Research Notebook

Ideal for replacement of paper notebooks, a LabArchives Digital Notebook can be used to document ideas, notes, research, experiments, and procedures. They are designed for intuitive use, ease of search, copying and versioning. They support collaboration with many users and includes access controls. In this workshop you will be provided an overview of the LabArchives Digital Research Notebooks.
