Tisch Library MyTERN Media Fellowship

In partnership with Tisch College's TUPIT program, Tisch library will sponosor two students from the Spring 2025 MyTERN Cohort to continue to hone their podcasting skills this summer. After spending the spring semester creating, recording, and editing podcasts with the 5th MyTERN cohort, Rocio "Rose" Lopez and Jason Stiles have been selected as Tisch Library MyTERN Media Fellows and received fellowship certificates at the MyTERN graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 8th.

Writing your NSF Data Management and Sharing Plan
Applying for NSF funding? Join Tisch Library for a Zoom workshop on NSF Data Management and Sharing Plans.
All NSF proposals must include a two-page Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMSP), outlining how your research data will be managed, shared, and preserved. This workshop will cover the general NSF guidelines for writing a DMSP, directorate/division-specific guidance, and how to use DMPTool to find DMSP templates. We’ll discuss your options for meeting NSF data sharing requirements, as well as best practices that can enhance your plan.
Illustrator Improv
Join us for snacks and a relaxing, playful exploration of Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator is a vector-based 2D design program used for graphic design, typesetting, and (unsurprisingly) illustration, but it’s not a typical “drawing” program like you might be familiar with if you’ve used Photoshop or ProCreate. This event will help you understand how to start developing a visual language by experimenting with shape, color, and scale with a focus on exploration and process more than product. There is no previous experience with Illustrator required.

Come hang out in the DDS and explore objects close-up with our 200x macro smartphone lens and unconventional microphones. Low stake prompts and reflections will help encourage curiosity for seeing and listening in different ways. Light snacks will be available. Feel free to bring your objects to listen or look at!

We have completed “The World’s Largest Puzzle” as a community!
That's 60,000 pieces that over 100 people put together to create a 8 feet tall and 29 feet long image of Earth!
Join us for the Unveiling Party on Thursday, April 10th from 3 - 4:30 PM on the 2nd floor of Tisch Library near the “fishbowl” to view it as well as exhibits, activities, and snacks.
