Tisch Library serves the School of Arts and Sciences & the School of Engineering at Tufts University. It is located at 35 Professors Row on Tufts’ Medford campus.
Tisch Library is a 20-minute walk from Davis Square, and has paid parking available.
Using the library
Tisch Library and its branches are open to the public. You are welcome to use our onsite collections and access resources using our public computers.
You are also welcome to use our Ask Us online help service, which is available via chat, email or phone. The assistance we can provide you via this service may be limited, but we are happy to help in any way we can.
Borrowing items from Tisch Library & branches
Borrowing physical and electronic items from our collection is generally reserved for Tufts students, faculty and staff. If you are one of the following special types of Tufts community members, you can borrow some items, such as books, scores, CDs, and DVDs in our physical collections:
- Visitor (you can purchase a Visitor account)
- Boston Library Consortium (BLC) card holders
- Medford and Somerville teachers
- OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) members
- Retired faculty and staff members
- Spouse of a Tufts faculty or staff member
- Affiliate scholar or researcher
