A Gentle Introduction to R

This workshop is designed to get you started with the statistical programming language R. We will provide an overview of the R language and the RStudio interface and compare them to other commonly used statistical programs and programming languages. Then we will walk through an R script and cover the following:

Meet the Bioinformatics Team on Campus - Boston Edition

Jason Laird and Adelaide Rhodes have recently joined the Research Technology Team that maintains the HPC Cluster among other high demand computer resources at Tufts University.

We want to get to know the students, staff and faculty of Tufts, so feel free to drop by during one of our open office hours to get acquainted with our asynchronous, recorded and live training materials or just to ask a question about bioinformatics in general.

We have the ability to help Tufts University affiliates with any sequencing data needs.

Intro to RStudio OnDemand For Life Sciences (Part 2 of 4)

Jason Laird, Bioinformatics Scientist, will present an overview of RStudio for Life Sciences using the Tufts High Performance Computing Cluster OnDemand.

The presentation will cover the basics of RStudio Interactive Development Environment (IDE) methods. Users will be introduced to working with and visualizing data in RStudio. This workshop is open to the Tufts community and appropriate for anyone who would like to work with RStudio on the Tufts HPC Cluster, no prior experience is required.
