Welcome, TAs! Tisch has lots of resources to support you in your role as TAs. Please don't hesitate to ask for help if you don't see what you need below.
Subject librarians work with their departments to foster research skills and create research resources. Subject librarians are happy to visit your class or section to work with your students on research skills and strategies, often in preparation for a specific assignment. You and your students can also make an appointment to meet one-on-one with a subject librarian.
Subject librarians create research guides to curate resources to help you and your students navigate the research process. The research guides are organized by subject. Most disciplines have a general guide suited for all researchers and then professors and TAs can request a librarian make a specialized guide for a particular course.
The Digital Design Studio (DDS) is able to help you and your students design and print posters, use cameras and recording equipment and space for creative projects, and more! The DDS staff can also collaborate with faculty members on including digital media into their courses. The DDS is located in Tisch Library 303.
The StAAR Center offers support and resources for students to boost their academic success. You and your students can find peer tutors, take papers and projects to the Writing Center for help, and discuss other key study skills with StAAR Center staff. The Writing and Academic Success Center is located in Tisch Rooms 128 & 130.
The Data Lab offers specialized software and support for all Tufts students working with data or GIS maps and performing data analysis. For those working with financial data, the Data Lab is home to Tisch's Bloomberg terminals. The Data Lab in Tisch is located in Room 203.
You and your students can use this website to find and access textbooks and other course reserve materials through Tisch Library and on your course Canvas site.
If your faculty member would like you to help them with coordinating their course reserves, please visit the instructor reserves website.
Tisch Library is a wonderful place to host study sessions for your students, especially around exam time, or meet with students one-on-one for extra help sessions. You can use Reserve Tufts to book study spaces in Tisch Library.
