New subscription: Le Monde

Posted: Mon, Aug 11th 2025

Tisch Library has added a subscription to Le Monde, known as one of France's "papers of record."  The Tufts community can read today's news, as well as stories from the last year, on paper's website through our institutional subscription.

In addition to the French-language interface, there's an option to switch to the English-language interface, which includes the ability to search for terms in English, by clicking English at the top of the page.

Drop-in tours of Tisch Library for new (and returning) graduate students

Join Tisch Library staff for an introduction to our spaces and services, and an opportunity to ask any questions you have about the library. Tours will leave from the Tisch Library lobby and will last for about 30 minutes.

Tours are available at:

  • Monday 9/8, 12pm
  • Wednesday 9/10, 2pm

The tours will be given with a new graduate student audience in mind, but we also encourage returning graduate students or undergraduate students to join us as well. We look forward to meeting you!

What grad students wish they knew about the library sooner: a Tisch Library information session

This session will be held virtually. Please register for the event to receive the Zoom link.

Join Tisch Library staff for an introduction to library services and how we can work together during your time at Tufts, and for time to ask us questions. We’ll be highlighting things that grad students told us in previous surveys that they wished they knew about the library earlier in their time at Tufts, to ensure you know about them from the very beginning!

Changes to selected Gale databases

Posted: Fri, Jun 13th 2025

We will lose access to some resources that we received for free through the state as of June 30th due to funding cuts associated with the dissolution of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

We anticipate little impact to the Tufts community as most of these resources received little use here. They are more geared towards a high school student population, and are highly duplicative of other resources we already have.
