Come make a custom stamp while learning the foundations of laser engraving. We’'ll teach you what a laser engraver does, how to make your own design, preparing your file for print, and considerations for choosing a material. You’ll create your own stamp and we'll talk through next steps to continue working with laser engraving!

This year, the Tisch Library Digital Design Studio has started a new series of student-taught workshops: the DDS Community Skillshare!
Come take a (drum) break and de-stress by playing with digital sounds! Using pre-set instruments, you'll be able to make a percussive beat and add some instrumentals in Ableton, a digital audio workstation for making music. We've selected some easy-to-use tools to get started so we can focus on playing around, being creative, and letting out stress! Participants are welcome to come and go as they need.

Join Special Collections for a Print Fair on October 25th from 12:00-2:00 PM in Tisch Library Room 103.
Come operate our printing presses and print images with traditional Asian tools! An exhibit of books richly illustrated by Gustave Doré will also be on display.
Join Special Collections for an Open House on Friday, October 24th at 1:00-3:00 PM in Tisch Library Room 103. The Open House will feature highlights from the collection from the Middle Ages to the 20th century and an exhibit of books elaborately illustrated by Gustave Doré.

We’re reducing the size of our print journal collection on Level G. Most users now access journal articles online, so we’re making space by removing lesser-used print volumes.
Accessing Articles You’ll still have access to thousands of journals through our electronic subscriptions and interlibrary loan services. If you need an article we don’t have on-site, we can usually get a PDF for you quickly.
