As a retired Tufts faculty or staff member, you will be able to borrow physical books, DVDs, and CDs at Tisch Library and its branches.
Register for a retired faculty or staff account
To register for a retired faculty or staff account, visit the Information and Circulation Desk at Tisch Library, or email our Access Services Department
We will verify your status with Tufts HR. Once approved, your library account will be active for five years.
Borrowing materials
As a retired Tufts faculty or staff member, you can check out books and scores for 90 days, with the option to renew for up to 18 months. DVDs and CDs can be borrowed for 14 days with renewals up to 1 month.
Interlibrary loan or database access
Unfortunately, retired Tufts faculty or staff members cannot use our interlibrary loan service. Please check with your local public library for interlibrary loan services.
Retired faculty and staff also cannot access databases (Proquest, JSTOR, etc) or other subscription content (like specific journals) off-campus. However, you may be able to access this content on-site from a library computer, depending on our licensing agreement with specific content providers.
