Driving directions
Southbound toward Medford/Somerville:
- Take 93 S to exit 32, Medford Square
- From the exit ramp, take the first right off the rotary onto Rte 60 W
- At the second set of lights, turn left onto Main St
- Keep right at the fork to stay on Main St
- Take the second right onto George St
- Take the first left onto College Ave
- Drive past the gym and turn right at the traffic lights onto Boston Ave
- Walking directions to Tisch from the parking garage
Northbound toward Medford/Somerville:
- Take 93 N to exit 31 and merge onto Mystic Valley Pkwy, Rte 16 W toward Arlington
- Take the Main St exit toward Medford Square
- Turn left onto Main St
- Keep right at the fork to stay on Main St
- Take the second right onto George St
- Take the first left onto College Ave
- Drive past the gym and turn right at the traffic lights onto Boston Ave

Parking information
- The best place to park is the Dowling Hall Parking Garage, located at 419 Boston Ave Medford, MA 01255. Sometimes, there is free parking available on Packard Avenue, between Powderhouse Boulevard and Professors Row after 8:00 a.m.

Walking directions from Dowling Garage:
- Option #1: Exit the garage on the first floor by Public Safety and take a right on Boston Ave. At the traffic lights, turn right onto College Ave. Turn right again at Professors Row. The entrance to the library is near the corner of Professors Row and Latin Way.
- Option #2: Exit Dowling Hall on the seventh floor (take the elevator up from the garage). Walk across the bridge and through the Quad Area. Stay to the left of Goddard Chapel. Go down the stairs near the Chapel, and you will arrive at the main entrance of the library.
Subway and bus options
- MBTA Green Line: Take the Green Line E train toward Medford/Tufts. From there, take the crosswalk at the corner of Boston Ave and College Ave to cross the street. Continue on College Ave toward Professors Row and turn right. The entrance to the library is near the corner of Professors Row and Latin Way.
- Bus: There are two bus lines with stops close to Tufts. The #96 has stops at Harvard Square and Davis Square, and the #94 has stops at Medford Square (Medford) and Davis Square (Somerville). Consult the MBTA website or choose the "Public Transit" option on Google Maps to find times and bus routes.
Directions from Logan Airport, North Station, or South Station
- From Logan Airport, take the free Massport shuttle bus (22, 33, or 55 depending on your terminal) toward the Blue Line Airport stop. Take the Blue Line train toward Bowdoin, then switch to the Green Line at Government Center. From there, follow the MBTA Green Line directions above.
- From North Station, follow signs to the MBTA Green Line North Station subway train. From there, follow the MBTA Green Line directions above.
- From South Station, follow signs to the the MBTA Red Line South Station subway train. Board a Red Line train outbound to Alewife, and go to the Davis Square stop. From Davis Square, follow the directions below.
Directions from Davis Square
- MBTA buses #94 or #96 will take you to Tufts.
- Information on the free Tufts shuttle bus that runs during the academic year. The shuttle stops at the Davis Square MBTA bus stop (College Ave. side) and the Mayer Campus Center, across the street from Tisch.
- Google Maps walking directions from Davis Square, about 15-20 minutes. Head northeast on College Ave to the Powder House traffic circle. Be cautious here! Walk around the traffic circle and continue down College Ave, to the right of the Tufts University sign. Continue walking past the athletic fields on your left. At Professors Row, take a left. The entrance to the library is near the corner of Professors Row and Latin Way.
