Starting in Fall of 2026, Tisch Library’s media production equipment (cameras, audio recordings, microphones, lights, tripod, etc.) will circulate at the Digital Design Studio desk on the 3rd floor.
What equipment is moving upstairs?
Equipment that will move up to the third floor service desk includes:

- Close Listening Kit
- Lavaliere Microphone Kit
- Lighting Kit
- Parabolic Microphone Kit
- Photography Kit
- Podcast Recording Kit
- Reflector Disk Kit
- Ring Light Kit
- Smartphone Recording Kit
- Stabilizer Kit
- Tripod Kit
- USB Microphone Kit
- Video Recording Kit
- Wireless Microphone Kit
These are all items used to support video and audio production.
Why the change?
This equipment has always been managed by the Digital Design Studio and its staff. We’re hoping to provide more robust technical support by taking on a direct role in circulating our items. We’ll be available to answer questions, make suggestions (if you want them) and get better acquainted with both the folks who use these items and what y’all are using them for! Chargers, adapters, and other peripherals will continue to circulate from the front desk.
What’s the timeline?
March 2026 update: The media equipment move will be completed by the start of the Fall 2026 semester. Ideally, the new location for circulating media equipment will soft launch over the summer, but various projects make it difficult to calculate our official date. We will update this page throughout the summer as we have more details.
