The SMFA Library encourages members of our community to use our space for exhibitions, meetings, and events. If you would like to use the library for an exhibition, meeting, or event, please read our policies and guidelines and fill out our form to submit a proposal. Please read the policies carefully.
Library staff will review your request and let you know whether it has been approved. Requests are considered on a first come, first served basis. If the date(s) you have proposed are not available, we will work with you to find alternate dates. All confirmed dates will be considered final unless the necessity for change coincides with space availability.

Frequently asked questions
Do I use this booking system if I want my class to have a library visit?
No, but please inform us ahead of time, via email (email sephora.bergiste@tufts.edu) if you're bringing your class for a tour.
Do I need this booking system if I want my class to meet with a librarian?
No. Instead, send an inquiry to our Research & Instruction Librarian, Carrie (email carrie.salazar@tufts.edu) or to our Assistant Director, Darin (email darin.murphy@tufts.edu).
Can I display art in any space in the library?
There are pre-approved 'zones' detailed in our policies and guidelines. We can always work together to find other spaces that may be more appropriate for your work.
