Why and when to create shareable links
Do you want to create links to articles or other resources, such as items from the library databases, for Canvas, or other locations so that they work from off campus? In this case, you need to format the links in a way that redirects them through the EZproxy server. Links with proxy information allow publishers' websites to recognize that users are members of the Tufts community and have access to library resources that we subscribe to. If you share a library link without adding proxy information, off-campus users may not be able to access it.
How to
Use the automatic proxy link generator on this page to create links to library resources to share with other members of the Tufts community.
If you want to create links to library resources in Canvas for course readings, you can find more information on our putting material on reserves page for instructors.
