The library takes seriously its responsibility of managing research materials for the Tufts community. As such, difficult decisions have to be made from time to time. One such decision is to cancel our subscription to the AM Explorer primary source databases effective January 1, 2025. While the databases in this collection have a great value to those doing primary source research, the vendor behind these databases, Adam Matthew, has made dramatic changes to the subscription cost which are unsustainable.
Note that the following collections will still be available:
- Confidential Print: Africa
- Confidential Print: Middle East
- Empire Online
- Foreign Office Files for India
- Foreign Office Files for the Middle East
- Grand Tour
- Indigenous Histories & Cultures
- Migration to New Worlds
In some cases, there may be similar collections of material available in the public domain or through other digitized archive collections available at the library. If you would like help finding similar resources to the databases in AM Explorer, please contact your department’s subject librarian.
