Tisch Special Collections invites you to our one day only pop-up exhibit on Aldus Manutius: Renaissance Printer in Venice on Tuesday, March 8th. Stop by Tisch Library room 302 any time between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm!
Aldus Manutius was the most important early printer after Gutenberg. The exhibit will include texts on various subjects, including literature, philosophy, politics, astronomy, and demonology, all featuring Aldus’s innovative fonts and designs. In addition, there will be several premodern manuscripts on display, and one of the most beautiful books in Special Collections, the views of Venice by Carlevarijs.
