Tisch awarded two Affordable Course Materials Awards for summer & fall 2024. The awards supported Professors Katie Mattaini & Mitch McVey (Biology) and Scott Greenspan (Education) in creating no-cost course materials for their students at Tufts, and sharing those materials so that students and instructors at any school can use them.

Drs. Katie Mattaini & Mitch McVey in the Biology department received funding for the continued development of Dr. Mattaini's OER text Encyclopedia of Biological Methods (EOBM), recipient of a Spring 2024 Affordable Course Materials Award. The EOBM is written to introduce a variety of biological methods to any student with a basic understanding of introductory-level college biology, and is freely available to all students and instructors on the LibreTexts platform.

Dr. Scott Greenspan in the Education department received funding to develop an updated set of course materials for a year-long course required for second-year students within the School Psychology program that are engaged in supervised clinical work in the schools. The updated materials support increased accessibility and alignment to National Association of School Psychologists Standards, and have no cost to students through a combination of articles, electronic texts, and books on course reserve at Tisch. The updated syllabus and resource library are shared in the Tufts Digital Library for instructors at any institution to access.

Congratulations to Professors Mattaini, McVey & Greenspan!
