Some Tufts Bikes Share bikes have seats that can only be adjusted using a hex key, so we have you covered!

Tufts ID holders can check out Tufts Bikes by visiting the Information and Circulation Desk. These items can be borrowed for 1 day at a time. Tufts members must sign a Tufts Bikes Agreement Form before they can loan. Keys, helmets, and lights must be returned to the Tisch Library Information and Circulation Desk.


 

Conditions of Use

  • Handle the equipment carefully
  • All bikes should be returned in the condition it was received.  If there is any damage, fill out a Damage Report when returning the key
  • All bikes must be returned to the Tufts Bikes Shed (in front of Tisch Library) or Tufts Bike Rack (in front of Campus Center) in their assigned slot
  • Equipment borrower assumes full responsibility for damage, loss or theft
  • You must be 18 or older
  • You must ride on pavement
  • You must wear a helmet (provided upon checkout)
  • You must use lights at night
  • You must sign a waiver each academic year. Read the release here

Damage, loss or theft

  • If an item is damaged, lost or stolen, please contact tuftsbikeshare@gmail.com and someone will reach out to you to discuss appropriate actions
  • Please check for damage before you ride! Any damage found should be reported using a Damage Report or at the Library Information and Circulation Desk

Standard Fees for Missing or Damaged Items:

  • Normal Wear & Tear: $0
  • Frame: $400
  • Key or lock: $50
  • Seat: $100
  • Helmet: $75
