Can I print at the SMFA Library?
If you have a Tufts username and password, you can print from our public computers or your personal device using JumboPrint. There is a printer outside the library doors in the 3rd floor B side hallway.
You can upload the files you want to print using the web interface, or select SMFA_BW or SMFA_Color from the printer menu on our public computers.
Note that you can only print a standard 8.5 x 11 inch document using the web interface. If you want to print 11 x 17 inches, use the printer menu.
Can I print from my laptop or phone?
You can add the JumboPrint application to your Windows or Mac computer. If using a Mac, be sure to install both SMFA-specific packages.
To print from your phone or mobile device, download and install the free Pharos app for Android or iPhone/iPad. Use the following settings when prompted by the app:
- Server address: jumboprint.tufts.edu
- Port: 443
Can I print in color?
The web interface allows you to select color or black and white. If using the printer menu, send your file to SMFA_Color.
Can I use a scanner at the SMFA Library?
We have three scanners available for use: one overhead book scanner and two flatbed scanners that can scan up to 8.5 x 11 inches. Ask a member of our staff if you need help using our scanners.
Will the library scan something for me?
We can scan up to two chapters or articles from an item the library owns, or up to 20% of the item's total pages. To place a request, use our Scan & Deliver service.
