In this workshop, we will explore a sampling of short and simple in-class activities that can introduce students to methods commonly used in digital humanities (DH), such as distant reading, visualization, encoding, or annotation. We will discuss approaches that you can use when designing classroom activities and assignments, consider appropriate tools and technologies, and ways to best match DH activities and assignments to your course objectives and disciplinary context.
