Ars et Scientia: Woodblock Printing with Michael Smoot

Join Special Collections and SMFA Professor Michael Smoot for a hands-on event on November 2nd from 2:00-4:00 PM in Tisch Library Room 103. With the help of Professor Smoot and his portable printing press, you will be able to make your own prints of the beautiful woodblock illustrations showcased in our upcoming exhibit, Ars et Scientia: The Intersection of Science and Art in Early Modern Woodcuts, on display in Special Collections from October 25th through the end of the semester. The exhibit features illustrations from seminal works of anatomy, astronomy, biology, and physics.
