Panel presentation of Tisch Library Graduate Fellows in Arts and Humanities

Join us to hear the presentations of the 2021 Tisch Library Graduate Research Fellows in the Arts and Humanities, whose thesis and dissertation research projects make creative use of collections, services, and expertise at Tufts libraries. Our 2021 fellows are:

  • Sophia Cocozza, MA in Music. Sophia’s thesis includes several case studies of gesture’s role in sound art, focusing on the historical development of this artistic discipline.
  • Hannah Herndon, PhD in English. Hannah’s dissertation traces the verbal history of rape culture through a multiethnic archive of women writing about sexual violence from the survivor’s perspective.
  • Lee Nevitt, PhD in English. Lee’s dissertation asks what the relationship between space and sexuality looks like in the 19th-century American countryside.
  • Cat Rosch, MA in History. Cat’s thesis centers on birth control activism between 1965 and 1972, a critical time when birth control was available to married women, but not to single women, in the commonwealth.

The fellows will make brief presentations of about 15 minutes each followed by questions from the audience. This award is jointly sponsored by Tisch Library and the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, with the support of the Center for the Humanities at Tufts.
