If you're auditing a Tufts class, you'll be able to borrow physical books, scores, DVDs and CDs at Tisch Library and its branches.

Register as an auditor

To register for library privileges, please visit the information desk at Tisch Library. We will verify your auditor status with the Registrar. Your library privileges will only be valid for the duration of the term.

Borrowing materials

As an Auditor, you will be able to check out books and scores for 28 days, and DVDs and CDs for 14 days.

You are responsible for any items checked out using your library account; it is not recommended that you check out materials on someone else's behalf. We are happy to hold items for up to 48 hours if you need to come back with an ID.

Interlibrary loan and database access

Unfortunately, Auditors cannot use our interlibrary loan service. Please check with your local public library for interlibrary loan services.

Auditors cannot access databases (Proquest, JSTOR, etc.) or other subscription content (like specific journals) off-campus. However, auditors may be able to access this content on-site from a library computer, depending on the licensing agreement we have with specific content providers.
