Collections for Remote Teaching
There are several options for using and accessing library collections in support of online teaching. Scan & deliver services are currently suspended.
If you would like us to order a copy of an e-book, please use the Recommend a Purchase Form. Our default will be to order the book as an e-book unless you indicate you'd prefer print in the notes field. Not all books are available for purchase by libraries in an electronic format (e.g. textbooks, popular fiction on Kindle), but we will do our best.
Locating online materials
Get in touch with your liaison librarian for assistance locating materials to support your classes. From open educational resources (and open textbooks), to checking out digital books from the Internet Archive or how to activate an online borrowing card for the Boston Public Library (eCard), we can help you locate alternative teaching materials.
Many vendors are offering free, temporary access to resources such as textbooks, e-books, streaming video, and pedagogical tools. Check out this running list of resources: https://tinyurl.com/vendorsupportedaccess.
Limited access to the print book collection
Hathi Trust has enabled Emergency Temporary Access Service to provide digital copies of close to 45% of the Tufts Libraries print collection. Information on the service: https://tischlibrary.tufts.edu/about-us/news/2020-04-02-9906.
