Textbook Pilot Project

Good news: we've started buying textbooks!

Working with the office of the Dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Education, Tisch Library has launched a one-year pilot project. Thanks to the generous support of the Dean of Arts & Sciences, we've purchased multiple copies of textbooks for several high-enrollment classes.

Required textbooks for courses included in the pilot are on reserve at the Information Desk near the entrance of Tisch Library. You can borrow these books for four hours at a time and use them in the library.

For other courses, check to see if your instructor put a personal copy of the textbook on reserve. Search for the first few letters of the course subject area, like COMP or JPN, on the course reserve search page. If you don't find anything, ask your professor if they would be willing to place a personal copy of the text on reserve.

We hope this helps your semester get off to a great start! If you have any questions or feedback about the textbook project we'd love to hear from you!
