The first two months of 2015 were the snowiest on record, forcing many Boston area institutions, including Tufts, to close and the MBTA transit system to come to a standstill. Tufts was officially closed for 5 days. Thanks to dedicated staff, the Library opened for 2 of the snow days, and its webservers provided continual access to thousands of internet visitors. There were over 4,000 visits to the library's website on the 3 days that the library and the university were closed!
While the accumulated snow reached nearly 100 inches, Tufts students and faculty carried on with their research and other library activities.
