This is a high visibility, front-line position requiring prompt, courteous customer service to a full range of library users; strong attention to detail, high-energy level and flexibility to meet the needs of the department.
Duties include charge/discharge materials from the general stacks, course reserve readings, laptops, iPads, media equipment, Tufts Bike Share; shelf reading; shelving; book pick-ups; making up book trucks; processing new books; responding to customer inquiries and referring customers to appropriate library personnel; data entry, filing and other duties as assigned by staff.
Excellent customer service skills, willingness to learn the library III system, and basic computer knowledge.
Job is available for two shifts (6-8 hours per week).
Work shifts are assigned, based on student availability, and cover all hours the library is open during the Fall 2017 semester.
